Yes, you read it properly, Skyrim VR is coming to PC soon! On the 3rd of April, Todd will be happy to start selling us his newer version of Skyrim!
The madman did it again. Todd Howard’s The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim will conquer another frontier this April! The game that keeps on giving will finally be available to the PC Master Race on April 2. And on top of that, it will be available in its full glory. Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn will be VR friendly and on the house! The game can be pre-purchased on Steam for £39,99 or $60 for the peeps over the pond.
But this is not the first VR gig for Skyrim. Last year, it had a very successful debut on the console scene for the PlayStation 4. On top of that, Skyrim’s availability for different platforms has turned into a Meme. Ever since the Elder Scrolls V have been released in 2011, it’s been released on every platform under the sun – figuratively.
The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim VR will support HTC Vive and every other Windows Mixed reality set. Even the Oculus! For some reason, Bethesda didn’t like it! Future SteamVR Dovahkiins will also be able to use a motion tracked controller, besides the normal one. Sadly its current price tag seems a bit inflated. Charging a full price for a VR, even one with the DLC included is a bit too over the top, even for Todd. But to be honest, if there is a market for it, why not?
It is not of a surprise that we are getting a Skyrim VR version for PC. The game is superb, it’s one of the most legendary games in the history of gaming and its open world have mesmerized me and millions of games from all over the globe for years! It is also the 5th game of the legendary Elder Scrolls series by Bethesda and Todd Howard and this VR version will be the 6th Skyrim version to hit the market.
