Benq is one of the most trusted high end companies in the digital world. I received a Benq Zowie XL2546 Monitor for Esports recently and I immediately put it to the test!
I’m an average gamer on regular times and a massive PC destroyer on my holidays (if I’m not travelling). I pride myself on being practical but I will never compromise comfort in playing my games.

Benq ZOWIE XL2546 has a matte finish which I see is very elegant. It has four major parts that is very easy to assemble. The minimalist concept is appreciated as the wires are easily accessible on the side and on the bottom. The stand can be adjusted or turned effortlessly. Markers are a plus for this model, it is immovable and enables you to remember which mark is the most comfortable for your gaming experience. The optional monitor shield is a plus too. It is a good way to keep you focused during intense situations. A newbie can adjust and navigate throughout the assembly process in no time.
Mic, headphone jack, USB port and headphone hanger (red) on the side.
The matte finish is totally elegant.
The stand can be locked in one rotation and a single screw.
I tried playing PUBG on this monitor and I could say it delivers!. the Black Equalizer which is available to most Zowie monitors is the deal breaker here. It lightens dark areas without compromising the graphics of the game. There were no shadows and smearing. Though it came a little bit brighter for Dota 2, the rest of my games had improved visually on this monitor. Less blurred images especially when rotating the camera view on action packed situations. Keep in mind this monitor doesn’t have a built in speaker, so you might want to think about that when buying the monitor.
The monitor is worth getting due to its design, mobility and features. Though at times on regular day to day PC usage, there are cases that it displays lighter than the original color. I don’t really mind since it is built for gaming. It is ideal for a multiple gaming station set up. The flat back-end of the monitor helps with space. I tried placing the monitor in a sturdy laptop table at the end of my bed and if fits perfectly!. It felt so good that you can actually build a good PC set up in a small space, let alone your bedside (or should I say within your bed?). As I love conventional things. Benq ZOWIE XL2546 has earned my admiration and recommendation.
The Benq ZOWIE XL2546 starts at AED 1899 or about $520 USD.
The XL2546 comes with S-Switch however the package sent to me does not come with it. I will not discuss the FPS further as well, emphasized what are useful and bang on the buck for me.
