True to it’s passion for creating monitors for gamers, here’s what I think about the Benq ZOWIE XL2740.
The rise of esports had opened up a lot of market to huge companies like Benq who recently launched a line of gaming monitor made specially for gamers.

I already tried the ZOWIE2546 and visually both monitors look the same. So, I ventured more on what this monitor can do as an individual product. Surprisingly, the screen brightness is comfortable and non-straining to the eyes. You are welcomed by the signature Zowie logo upon turning the monitor on. The product has Black Equalizer to help spot enemies. Impressive color vibrance for games like PUBG which helps a player see variation of colors accurately.
Tried playing PUBG for 6 hours straight, The Guild Renaissance and The Witcher. This is to test out the visual impact of playing games on different graphical settings and inspirations. One notable improvement is that it made a huge impact on the surroundings. I started to notice fine details in the grasslands. The interior of the stone houses and, most of all, the small things that are usually covered by shadows became visible which made the game more enjoyable.
I am impressed that in the duration of time I was playing, the monitor was performing smoothly. These small things matter to me especially that I am dependent in graded eyeglasses. And since Benq ZOWIE XL2740 has a matte finish, reflections are scattered across the screen resulting to reflections to be nearly invisible in average room light.
It comes with an S-Switch – an external controller that connects to Benq ZOWIE XL2740. It has pre-set buttons that can be customized based on your preferences.
The Benq ZOWIE XL2740 secured a place in my favorite monitor list! Its elegant design and its ease on my visuals gained my confidence on this monitor. I like the smoothness and clarity of my game and the minimalist approach. I appreciated more the graphics of my games that was shadowed before.
The 240Hz is one of its outstanding features. When I point out on my mouse to aim, I am expecting it to be where it should to be and this monitor never failed me. Though like its brother, the Benq ZOWIE XL2740, there are times the screen appear lighter in color in other games like DOTA 2 and internet streaming. I can definitely ignore it as the monitor is built for gaming!
