In just four months in Google Play and App store, Sims mobile has generated more than $15M revenue already!
The Sims Mobile is doing a good job in making Simoleons, which was launched on March. Since then, it has earned $15 million according to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates. This puts Sims on the eight rank of the top earning mobile games for the month of June 2018. According to their site, more than 50% of the profit come from United States while 8% comes from Great Britain. This is also a follow up game on Sims FreePlay which was ranked third on the top earning mobile games which doubled Sims Mobile $15 million. Sims Mobile can catch up with Sims FreePlay since it was released on the App Store in 2011 and on Google Play in 2012.
Sims FreePlay and Sims Mobile are both mobile games from Electronic Arts. The Sims 4 also came from EA and Maxis while the mobile versions was developed by Firemonkeys and EA. Mobile is earning the most out of the rest of the gaming platforms. That is why Sims universe decided to bring the fun on the palm of your hands or in your pockets. The Sims 4 however is much more like the Sims Mobile. They both have the same art elements as well as Sim customization. FreePlay doesn’t allow you to tinker with your character’s aging , body type and facial features but mobile does. In its latest update, Firemonkey added pregnancy to FreePlay.
Banned from seven countries for its LGBTQ content
Even with all the colorful parades, seems like not everyone is still convinced with LGBTQ relationships. Count these seven countries in for they banned Sims FreePlay in Google Play and App stores for allowing LGBTQ relationships and character choices. It was discussed in Sims online forum that the mobile game would not be available anymore in China, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Egypt due to “regional standards.”
