xQc has been suspended from Overwatch yet again, this time for the third time.
xQc has landed himself in hot waters yet again. Previously, he was suspended for usage of a homophobic slur against a fellow gay Overwatch player. After that he was suspended for spamming Tryhard7 emote on Twitch when Malik Forte was on screen. After these two suspensions he was released from the Dallas Fuels roster.
In the latest incident xQc has been suspended from Overwatch for abusive behaviour. In an email received from Blizzard, they said:
“Your fellow players reported you for abusive language multiple times…after analysis of the evidence, we have suspended your Overwatch account.”
After the suspension, xQc posted on his Twitter:
“It is never my intention to harass or use in-game chat in an abusive manner. Banter is fun and 100% of the time I type something to someone I know they are playing along and won’t be hurt. If I ever typed something and you we’re genuinely hurt, I am sorry. I will be better.”
The current ban duration against him is 15 days. xQc’s ban’s duration will end before the Overwatch World Cup starts. But this might still not be good news for him, since his spot on the Canadian team is now a bit shaky. According to the rules of the tournament, the accounts of the players must be in “good standing”. xQc himself expressed doubt on his stream as to whether or not he will be able to play in the world cup. But Jayne, Team Canada’s coach seemed a little bit optimistic. He tweeted:
“I’m going to assume that @xQc’s ban is temporary and account-based, and will not affect his chances of playing for @TeamCanadaOW. At the very least, there will not be any internal changes or roster adjustments at this time.”
Do you think that the ban on xQc was justified? After his suspension for the third time, do you think he should receive a permanent ban? Let us know.
