The second season of the Dota Pro Circuit will kick off its first Major in Southeast Asia with the Kuala Lumpur Major running from November 9-18.
15 out of the 16 slots are already booked and this means that the scampering for the final spot through the DreamLeague Season 10 Minor will be a fierce one.
There are no direct invites for Majors this season making all teams required to play at their respective regional qualifiers. The only exception with direct invites will be for the Minor champion of the paired Major event.
A “Solid” EU cast
The OG-less European qualifiers kicked off with two notable names, Secret and Liquid. While Secret convincingly manhandled the rest of the qualifiers, Liquid saw the other way around. The TI7 Champs fell victim to Secret in the upper bracket of the playoffs before catching themselves off guard against the unlikely Team Lithium.

Secret will be joined by Alliance who are trying to stage a comeback at the higher tiers of Dota and the returning Ninjas in Pyjamas that is now led by TI Champion Peter “ppd” Dager.
Washing away the CIS Drama
CIS encountered a decent amount of drama in the shuffle which circled around Natus Vincere, Odium and some other players looking to sign a team elsewhere. But neither of these teams will fly to Malaysia as ferzee, a Russian team assembled to compete at this DPC came out of nowhere to join the Virtus.Pro gang on their trip to Malaysia.
Still the kings of SEA

There are two things consistent in Southeast Asia – the trolling and regional dominance of Fnatic and TNC Predator. Both teams who now have captains from the TI8 Mineski group – Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross Jr. for TNC and Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong for Fnatic retained dominance as they shined above all the SEA aspirants that included the reshuffled Mineski, the former TNC Tigers and the Team Lotac, the Khoo “Ohaiyo” Chong Xin stack.
The American Dream
If there is one thing American Dota can’t get themselves off, it’s probably the constant team disbandment and roster changes with the exception of Evil Geniuses. EG will be joined by the former VGJ.Storm squad now called Forward Gaming which adds Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora, and a ragtag team Marchoutofarmy starred by Lee “Forev” Sang-don.

SA Dota will bring in a lot of ‘Pain’ in Malaysia as Pain Gaming’s two organizations both made it through the qualifiers. The first is the TI8 Pain gaming that now promotes Rasmus “MISERY” Filipsen from coach to player and the PainX group of Quinn “CC&C” Callahan.
Business as usual for China
The Chinese region will be fronted by the usual mainstays. Unfortunately, some teams fell off the grid including Team Serenity and Newbee, who went downhill after their early exit at TI8.
PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming will represent China along with Team Aster, the team created by Chinese legend Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei.
The Kuala Lumpur Major will be held after its Minor counterpart, the DreamLeague Season 10 Minor to be held late October.
